Grow website sprouts further support for parents and carers

PARENTS AND CARERS of babies and young children now have an extra resource to help them – the newly updated Grow website.

This updated information is a perfect starting point for new parents and is easy to navigate. The expanded content now includes sections on antenatal advice, looking after babies and young children as well as information for parents and carers. The website includes local information contact details and links to national organisations.

Grow is the Tameside brand for early years (0-5 year olds).  Its partner organisations include local NHS and Council teams such as midwives, health visitors, children’s centres, parenting and the early attachment service as well as voluntary organisations such as Homestart.

Cllr Bill Fairfoull, Deputy Executive Leader of Tameside Council, said: “During COVID-19 our services looked to improve the accessibility of their information available to parents. We want this site to become a trusted resource for Tameside parents and somewhere services can sign post to.”
